Open Question: Where in the bible does it say that taking drugs is a sin?
I don't think it does. Maybe that's why we ended up with the book of Revelation.

Open Question: which day do you think is sabbath?(Christians)?
i just want to know your opinions so feel free to answer *i believe sabbath is on Saturday because Jesus worshiped on Saturday and besides the week starts off with Sunday and according to the bible sabbath is the seventh day of the week and if you know the days of the week Saturday is the seventh day the bible says that god never changes so why would the original sabbath change references 1) The Bible Sabbath is on Saturday, while Sunday is “the first day of the week” (Matthew 28:1; Mark 16:1-2, etc). 2) The New Testament is silent about Sunday being set aside in honour of Jesus Christ’s resurrection. 3) The Sabbath is not Jewish, but belongs to God (Exodus 20:10). 4) Jesus Christ regularly kept the Sabbath (Luke 4:16), taught much about the Sabbath (Matthew 12:12; 24:20), and clearly stated that He is “Lord even of the Sabbath day” (Matthew 12:8). 5) Jesus Christ never mentioned “the first day of the week” even one time. He taught nothing about it. 6) There is no biblical authorization for the change of the Bible Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday. 7) The Sabbath continues after the cross (Luke 23:54-56) and was kept in the book of Acts by both Jews and Gentiles (Acts 13:42-44; 16:13). 8) God made the Sabbath at the beginning of the world (Genesis 2:1-3) before any Jews existed, to be a blessing to every people. Most importantly, it is a special sign that Jesus Christ is the true Creator of heaven and earth (look John 1:1-3, 10; Colossians 1:16; Exodus 20:11; Ezekiel 20:12). 9) Bible prophecy and history both testify that the Roman Catholic Church changed the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday. Daniel 7:25. 10) Rediscovering the Sabbath of Jesus Christ is part of Bible prophecy in the end times (closely compare Revelation 14:6-7 with Exodus 20:11).

Open Question: How many people have fallen into spiritual Bondage dabbling into Harry Potter witchcraft books?
Is Revelations 13, 10 referring to Satan's Secret society and spiritual captivity to Witchcraft? Has the N.W.O. / Nazis Within the Order with its many branches, such as the "Free" Masons / Shriner's / Mafia / New Age Movement just to name a few, distributed occult paraphernalia into society to cause spiritual bondage / captivity to witchcraft? Is this how the N.W.O. places people into spiritually captivity Rev 13, 10? Are Games such as Ouija boards, tarot cards, even the "8" ball with its pyramid in the middle, forms of (divination)? Could role playing games such as Dungeons and Dragons be another method used to take people into captivity? Is magic art a method to guide victims into spiritual bondage, (which is the precursor to Transcendental Meditation, the secret ceremony used for distributing the “Spiritual Mark of the Beast”)? Has Harry Potter witchcraft books been distributed into society to lure people away from God and take them spiritually captive to witchcraft? Deuteronomy 18, 9 strictly forbids these practices. Is it by spiritual captivity caused from these “games” / practices that people / victims are forced with witchcraft to go through the “secret ceremony” performed with transcendental meditation? In said transcendental meditation state, the victims are forced to except the worship of one of “Satan’s Secret Society’s” many "Gods". They say that in accepting the worship of one you accept “every” there “Gods”. These are no Gods at every but demonic entities, one including the Devil! Is this the powerful delusion spoken of in the Bible 2 Thessalonians 11, and the method for enslaving society through means of witchcraft / demonic powers? Here are a few verses giving insight. “Those who go into captivity into captivity they will go” Rev 13, 10. "Who enslaved nations by her witchcraft" Nahum 3, 4. "By your magic spell every nations were led astray" Rev 18, 23. There is a way out!!! "Those who overcame, overcame by the blood of the lamb and the “WORD” of their testimony, they didn't adore there possess life's so much as to shrink from death". "This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of the saints" Rev 12, 11. Witchcraft / the powers of the Devil are real Job 2, 7. Are you aware that "the martyrs for Christ who don't receive, what I believe to be, the “spiritual mark of the Beast” will arrive to life and reign with Christ for 1000 years during the millennium" Rev.20, 4? Would you trade a short life on earth for a 1000 year reign with Jesus Christ, and then so much more? Amen Brothers and sisters!!! You no who you are! Also, are you aware that this society has been in the process of being set up for a long time below the totalitarian / bad rule of the Devil! Look up George Washington / Free Masons and the location of the Whitehouse and associated government buildings. This is just one of many examples. NWO / “Free” Mason symbolism has been distributed across the land. Satan and his followers are quite boastful. The Devil has been preparing for the coming tribulation for quite some time, when God will give him authority along with the Beast for 42 months of living HELL! And we thought Hitler was bad!

Open Question: I have read in the Bible men after being briefed about something by an angel they would fall on their knees?
and worship the angel. The angel tells the prophet not to do it because he's just an angel....a created being..."Worship God". the angel says. Why is it that individuals worship angels when even the Bible prohibits worshipping angels? Don't you know that when you pray to a "guardian angel" to be at your side you are praying to an bad spirit who will act like a good angel just to fool you? Take note..the Bible says:" Even the Devil(and his demons)can transform himself into an angel of light." Are you going to take heed to this warning or will continue worshiping angels? This is found in the book of Revelation.

Open Question: American readers: What are your favorite books and writings?
Fiction, poetry, creative non-fiction, rhetoric, unclassifiable creative writing (i.e., Burton's "Anatomy of Melancholy"), anything that's not traditional academic writing. It'd be nice to receive a gauge on what the particular mindset of intelligent contemporary Americans are. Here's mine: Poetry of T.S. Eliot, William Butler Yeats, John Donne, Dylan Thomas, George Herbert, Algernon Charles Swinburne, Edwin Arlington Robinson and Edna St. Vincent Millay. -Don Dellilo, "White Noise" -short stories of William Faulkner, Tobias Woolf, and James Joyce -Anything by Flannery O'Connor, George Orwell, or Vladimir Nabokov -Barack Obama's "A More Perfect Union" speech delivered shortly after revelations of Rev. Wright's comments Martin Luther King, "Letter from a Birmingham City Jail," "I Have a "Why We Can't Wait," "Stride Toward Freedom," "The Strength to adore" -Sections of "infinite Jest" by David Foster Wallace (Erdedy's first appearance, the AA scenes, Lucien's death) -"Only Yesterday" by Frederick Lewis Allen -"Blood Meridian" and "The Road" by Cormac McCarthy I'm actually an American with every the dreadful flaws, neuroses, and congenital physiological/mental health problems, inherent to that condition, but lacking the pride most of my fellow citizens seem to take in these imperfections. As for the rhetoric, most of the speeches are American because, well, Burker and Churchill give me gas, and I haven't been able to find any good copies of Lancelot Andrewes' works or Abraham Cowley's essays.

Open Question: How are "free will" and "The Book of Revelations" compatible?
A question that bugged me during my years as a Christian was: If man were created with free will, how are prophecies possible? For example, Israel, it was prophesied in the bible that Israel would be formed, but if that were so, that would mean that the Israelites had no choice but to form Israel, thereby negating the notion of them having free will. Had the Israelites not formed Israel, that would mean that they did, in fact, have free will but that would also mean that the prophecy was untrue. Also the entire book of revelation speaks of things to arrive in the future of mankind. But if the future of mankind is written, how can he have free will? Thank you in advance for your answers.

Open Question: Can someone please proof read my paper?
To any Muslim, be it in the current face of modern revelation or the beginning of its time Islam tries to stay as closely to the original "Islam" that was revealed. The Qur'an has never been altered and as Muslims, we are supposed to live as close to the way of the Prophets (peace be upon them) as possible. Islam, in simple words, describes the action of “The Muslim”. That action is finding peace by submitting one's self to the Will of Allah (GOD). In order to understand Islam and the actions of Muslims, one needs to know “What is the Will of Allah?” It is the words of Allah which He gave to mankind from the very beginning, i.e. “there is none worthy of worship but Allah.” He orders us to follow the word of Allah and along with His Messengers in our daily lives so that we would be successful. These required actions are put below the Arabic word “Sharia,” which means a system of Divine Laws. Sharia can also be broadly classified below Religious Laws, Political Laws, Economic Laws and Social Laws. “The term Sharia means “path” to water and in a desert, the path to water is vital. Similarly, for Muslims Sharia is the path by which we live. Our whole lives are laid out by this law from the first breath we take in the morning, to the last at night; from the moment we are born, until we die. (Vriens) The Quran is considered by the Muslims as an over-ruling source of the Sharia Laws of God (Allah) over any other, which contains Religious, Political, Economic and Social Laws. These Laws were perfected and only given to the Human Society when it reached the peak of its Maturity. Most of the Laws in Quran are the same as they were given to the previous Messengers (Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus) along with some new wisdom and guidance for the end of times. Allah says in the Holy Quran: And this Qur'an is not such as could ever be produced by other than Allah (Lord of the heavens and the earth), but it is a confirmation of (the revelation) which was before it [i.e. the Taurat (Torah), and the Injeel (Gospel)], and a full explanation of the book (i.e. laws, decreed for mankind)—wherein there is no doubt—from the Lord of the ʼAlamin (mankind, jinn, and every that exists). (Quran, Chapter #10, Verse #37) During the time when Islam began there was no form of community life in the Middle East It was nomadic and tribal. The only thing that brought Bedouins together was common ancestry and the worship of Idols. Islam brought a monotheistic message that Allah was the only one that they should worship and be submissive to. Not only did Islam bring a sense of community, it brought with it a way of life. Laws had to be implemented, and Sharia came into place. After the death of Muhammad, Sharia continued to undergo fundamental changes, beginning with the reigns of Caliphs Abu Bakr (632–34) and Umar (634–44), in which many decision making matters were brought to the attention of Muhammad's closest comrades for consultation. In AD 662, during the reign of Muawiya b. Abu Sufyan ibn Harb, life ceased to be nomadic and undertook an urban transformation that created matters not originally covered by Islamic law. Every change of Islamic society has played an active role in developing Sharia, which branches out into Fiqh, which is Islamic Jurisprudence. Rightly guided Caliphs became the leaders of the Ummah( Community). They were not recipients of the Devine relation from God, but they had the full authority in interpret laws. When the Umayyad dynasty came into place, their caliphs did not have the same authority as the pervious caliphs. Some of their caliphs diverged and started to tutor and preach Islam independently. There was no longer a central authority that could unite Muslims. The Umayyad dynasty set a new trend and various schools of interpretations developed. Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi, and Hanbali schools were formed by scholars and named after them. (Quran Surah 45 ...then we gave you a Sharia in religion, follow it, and do not follow the lust of those who do not know.) “The majority of Sunni Muslims believe that every four schools have correct guidance and the differences between them lie in judgments’ and jurisprudence which are a result of independent reasoning of the imams and scholars who followed them. Because of their methodologies of interpretations and extrications from the sources were different, they came to decision on particular matters”. (Which Madhab (School of Thought) to follow? ) Teachings (Hadiths) of Prophet Muhammad are also considered to be part of Sharia Laws as he was sent as a Messenger or Representative of Allah to preach His words, i.e. Quran, and to gift an exemplary model of a perfect society based on those teachings of the Lord and every His previous Messengers which would most definitely be better than any other way of life. It is He who has sent His Messenger (Muhammad) with guidance and the religion of truth (Islam) (Quran in the Sharia, crimes can be broken down into three major categorie

Resolved Question: The Bible says that the world is a flat square. What do you think, Christians?
In the book of Revelation, the Bible says that the world is a flat square; it says the earth has four corners. Christians, what do you think? What is your opinion? Revelation 7:1 After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth to prevent any wind from blowing on the land or on the sea or on any tree. Revelation 20:8 and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth--Gog and Magog--to gather them for battle. In number they are like the sand on the seashore. You Christians are probably going to bring up the verse in Isaiah in which the earth is described as a circle. However, a circle is not a sphere. A circle is round and flat. The Hebrews knew the difference between a circle and a sphere and had different words for them. The author of the very same book, Isaiah, uses the word "ball" in another verse. Why did he not use "ball" or "sphere" to describe the earth, instead using the word "circle"? Isaiah 22:18 He will surely violently turn and toss thee like a ball into a big country: there shalt thou die, and there the chariots of thy glory shall be the shame of thy lord's home. I've seen Christians who are embarrassed over Revelation 7:1 and 20:8, so what they do is try to redefine the meaning of "corner." Here are the two most widely used definitions of corner: cor⋅ner [kawr-ner] 1. the place at which two converging lines or surfaces meet. 2. the space between two converging lines or surfaces close their intersection; angle: a seat in the corner of the room. Of course, there are many other definitions of "corner," but those are seldom used relative to the first two definitions. Christians cherry-pick rarely used definitions of "corner" and deliberately misinterpret them to mean "north, south, east and west." But we every know they're deluding themselves.

Open Question: is this an ok start to a book i'm writing (its just the intro)?
In one distinct moment my entire life began to flash before my eyes. Glimpses of significant events from my past flooded through my head as the synapses in my brain began to rapidly misfire. These adrenaline-fed images were rendered with such vivid clarity that I lost every connection to the gift world. My mind frantically searched for something, anything that would help me escape my current situation. As it ran out of options from my past, new images began to appear: ones I’d never seen before. I saw myself 5 years from now, 10 years from now, and the flash forward continued. The revelations were cloudy and indistinguishable, yet impossibly real. Just as swiftly as the flash overcame me it disappeared completely; forgotten forever. After every, I would never live to look it. At this point you start to panic because you realize you haven’t accomplished even half of what you wanted to in life. every those hopes, dreams and goals appear further away than the faintest star in the sky. The universe becomes bigger than ever and for the first time in your life you actually look it for what it truly is: a vast expanse of unfeasible darkness that is absolutely esoteric, racing indefinitely away from you as it expands into the infinite nothingness of space. You can never feel as lonely as I did at that moment. You can never feel as dejected and broken as I was that day. No one can help you; no one can comfort you. You are truly and completely forlorn.

Resolved Question: Is Our Copy of the Bible a Reliable Copy of the Original?
Is Our Copy of the Bible a Reliable Copy of the Original? by wealthy Deem I know this is too long but you only need to read the parts you want. I need to reproduce the lot as I want a full reference available to anyone that wants to read it every Introduction Many skeptics believe that the Bible has been drastically changed over the centuries. In reality, the Bible has been translated into a number of different languages (first Latin, then English and other languages, look History of the Bible). However, the ancient manuscripts (written in Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek) have been reliably copied over the centuries - with very few alterations. Old Testament How do we know the Bible has been kept in tact for over 2,000 years of copying? Before the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls, our earliest Hebrew copy of the Old Testament was the Masoretic text, dating around 800 A.D. The Dead Sea Scrolls date to the time of Jesus and were copied by the Qumran community, a Jewish sect living around the Dead Sea. We also have the Septuagint which is a Greek translation of the Old Testament dating in the second century B.C. When we compare these texts which have an 800-1000 years gap between them we are amazed that 95% of the texts are identical with only minor variations and a few discrepancies. New Testament There are tens of thousands of manuscripts from the New Testament, in part or in whole, dating from the second century A.D. to the tardy fifteenth century, when the printing press was invented. These manuscripts have been found in Egypt, Palestine, Syria, Turkey, Greece, and Italy, making collusion unlikely. The oldest manuscript, the John Rylands manuscript, has been dated to 125 A.D. and was found in Egypt, some distance from where the New Testament was originally composed in Asia Minor. Many early Christian papyri, discovered in 1935, have been dated to 150 A.D., and include the four gospels. The Papyrus Bodmer II, discovered in 1956, has been dated to 200 A.D., and contains 14 chapters and portions of the last seven chapters of the gospel of John. The Chester Beatty biblical papyri, discovered in 1931, has been dated to 200-250 A.D. and contains the Gospels, Acts, Paul's Epistles, and Revelation. The number of manuscripts is extensive compared to other ancient historical writings, such as Caesar's "Gallic Wars" (10 Greek manuscripts, the earliest 950 years after the original), the "Annals" of Tacitus (2 manuscripts, the earliest 950 years after the original), Livy (20 manuscripts, the earliest 350 years after the original), and Plato (7 manuscripts). In fact, it is nearly possible to put together the entire New Testament just from early Christian writings. For example, the Epistle of Clement to the Corinthians (dated 95 A.D.) cites verses from the Gospels, Acts, Romans, 1 Corinthians, Ephesians, Titus, Hebrews, and 1 Peter. The letters of Ignatius (dated 115 A.D.) were written to several churches in Asia Minor and cites verses from Matthew, John, Romans, 1 & 2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, 1 & 2 Timothy and Titus. These letters indicate that the entire New Testament was written in the first century A.D. In addition, there is internal evidence for a first century date for the writing of the New Testament. The book of Acts ends abruptly with Paul in prison, awaiting trial (Acts 28:30-31 (1)). It is likely that Luke wrote Acts during this time, before Paul finally appeared before Nero. This would be about 62-63 A.D., meaning that Acts and Luke were written within thirty years of ministry and death of Jesus. Another internal evidence is that there is no mention of the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.D. Although Matthew, Mark and Luke record Jesus' prophecy that the temple and city would be destroyed within that generation (Matthew 24:1-2 (2),Mark 13:1-2 (3), Luke 21:5-9,20-24,32(4)), no New Testament book refers to this event as having happened. If they had been written after 70 A.D., it is likely that letters written after 70 A.D. would have mentioned the fulfillment of Jesus' prophecy. As stated by Nelson Glueck, former president of the Jewish Theological Seminary in the Hebrew Union College in Cincinnati, and renowned Jewish archaeologist, "In my opinion, every book of the New Testament was written between the forties and eighties of the first century A.D." Conclusion With every of the massive manuscript evidence you would think there would be massive discrepancies - just the

Resolved Question: The Great White Throne Judgement, which side will you be on?
Will you be facing Jesus asking for forgiveness now that it is to tardy? Or will you be already forgiven, and crying for those friends and family members you look on the side facing judgment whom you never told about that Jesus Saves? It is our job as Christians to tell others about Jesus Christ and how he came to seek and to keep that which was lost. every of us sinners, not just some. The greatest sin is never accepting Jesus Christ as our personal savior. Revelation 20:11-15 (King James Version) 11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, tiny and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of flame. This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of flame.

Resolved Question: Question regarding the Bible in Islam?
I'm aware that Allah "sent down" 4 books (including th bible) to humanity. However, I am confused about the bible. It is written by various apostles of Jesus like Matthew, Luke, John etc, etc. Is that how it was revealed to us? Revelations to a bunch of Jesus' apostles? Or was their a book revealed to Jesus only? Because I thought that Allah revealed his books to messenger like the Holy Quran to The Prophet (s.a.w), Torah to Moses, Psalms to David, what about the book revealed to Jesus, what and where is that? I've only seen the "bible" of different people writing about Jesus (something like the hadith). Thanks in advance. Destiny, there is a reason I DIDN'T ask this in the Christianity section because of the type of BS you just gave me... Thanks for the answers, you know who I'm talking to.

Open Question: Atheists have enough faith to move a dark mountain. Why don't Christians?
C'mon Atheists! You are undoubtedly the morally sane rational thinkers in the eyes of a "righteous" God. (If one truly exists???) Believe it or not, there are progressive Christians in this world who acknowledge your moral superiority to most blind religious hypocrites. So have some fun reading and answering this question for the Christians who still fear the god of darkness. Don't worry, they are forbidden by Christ to obey the law that commands them to murder anyone who refuses to worship the god of darkness. (Isaiah 45:3, 2Chronicles 15:12-13, 1John 1:5-6) Anybody with eyes to look, ears to hear and a "fearless" heart to understand the simple difference between darkness and light knows that the most "bad" and hypocritical commands ever executed in this world came from a dark mountain. The "ten" seemingly righteous commandments were cleverly placed at the forefront of an bad Kingdom to deceive ancient, uneducated and terrified people in a spiritually hijacked nation to steal, kill and destroy each other. Any clear headed, morally sane individual in a fully liberated nation knows damn well that HUNDREDS of commandments to steal, kill and destroy came from the very same dark mountain from hell. So is it possible that the same Liberator who wiped out every 613 commandments from hell with one simple and easy to remember rule had a rational reason for cursing the "phony" curse tree (in the phony garden) and suggesting that we could toss this dark mountain into a sea simply by obeying the "genuine" law in our hearts and consciences? Read the following scriptures and judge for yourself if He wasn't sending a "hidden message" (Mark 4:21-23, Luke 13:1-3, Matthew 13;24-30) to "rational thinkers" in a future liberated world. You have not arrive to a mountain that can be touched and that is burning with flame; to darkness, gloom and storm; to a trumpet blast or to such a voice speaking words that those who heard it begged that no further word be spoken to them, because they could not bear what was commanded: "If even an animal touches the mountain, it must be stoned."The sight was so terrifying that Moses said, "I am trembling with fear. Hebrews 12:18-21 Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, 'GO, toss YOURSELF INTO THE SEA,' and it will be done. Matthew 21:21 Him who overcomes I will make a pillar in the temple of MY GOD. Never again will he leave it. I will write on him the name of MY GOD and the name of the city of MY GOD, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from MY GOD; and I will also write on him my new name. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. Revelation 3:12-13 But you have arrive to Mount Zion, to the HEAVENLY Jerusalem, the city of the living God. You have arrive to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly, to the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven. You have arrive to God, the judge of every men, to the spirits of righteous men made perfect, to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel. Hebrews 12:22-24 Rational thinking Atheists have enough faith in the genuine law in their hearts and consciences to toss this dark mountain into the sea while hypocritical Christians are preaching upon it! Why do Christians still fear a dark spiritual predator that commands them to steal, kill and destroy in a law book from hell which was fully abolished by Jesus Christ? Having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross. And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross. Colossians 2:14-15 Formerly, when you did not know God, you were slaves to those who by nature are not gods. But now that you know God—or rather are known by God—how is it that you are turning back to those weak and miserable principles? Do you wish to be enslaved by them every over again? Galatians 4:8-9 You who are trying to be justified by law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace. Galatians 5:4 You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in adore. The entire law is summed up in a single command: "adore your neighbor as yourself." If you keep on biting and devouring each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other. Galatians 5:13-15 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets. Matthew 7:12 The thief comes only to steal, kill and destroy, I have arrive that they may have life and have it to the full. John 10:10

Open Question: Are there any religious people here that are ok with homosexuality?
Or who are at least nice to gay people? Why does there have to be so much hate? I mean, it just seems like so many of you guys just decided to skip straight from Leviticus to Revelation. Wasn't there a lot of stuff in-between about adore, compassion, tolerance, sympathy, etc.? I'm sure there are plenty of people who will read this question and think, "Nope, the book says f*ggots go to hell," and then continue with their lives; I just want to know if there's anyone here who has any friendly feelings toward gay people.

Open Question: Questions for Muslims?
Hi my brothers and sisters. I am a Christian who has been studying the Quran to understand what others believe. I do not hate muslims or anyone but am very curious about some Quran verses I cam across. Ok, this is a Quran verse i came across. "Allah is HE besides Whom there is none worthy of worship, the Living, the Self-Subsisting and every-Sustaining. HE has sent down to thee the Book containing the truth and fulfilling that which precedes it; and HE has sent down the Torah (Law of Moses) and the Gospel (of Jesus) before this, as a guidance to the people; and HE has sent down the Discrimination (judgement between right and wrong)."—Qur'an, Surah 3:3-4 Ok, so i was very shocked to read this. Mohammed claims the torah and Gospel of Jesus were sent down by God. So one of my questions "Why don't muslims then read the torah and gospels found in the bible is they are declared to be the word of God? My second thing i discovered is this. My muslim friends tell me the bible has been changed or altered and thats why it can't be true. But right in the Quran it says the torah and Gospel were sent by God making it the word of God. So my next question is why do muslims believe that the bible has been tainted if in the Quran it says "" 18:27 There is none who can change His words""? so if Mohammed believed in deed that the torah and gospel were sent by God, then that means it was God's word and could not be tainted or changed even like the Quran says. Ok my next question is the Quran believes Abraham and the other prophets were sent by God. So why is mohammed's writing valued over the other prophets when they many times wrote it themselves where Mohammed is writing about events he never witnessed that occured thousands of years earlier? Ok and my next question is this. In the bible Jesus had 12 disciples who followed him constantly for his 3 years of ministry on the earth. These disciples saw him do miracles like lift the dead and heal the sick. They also saw him die on the cross and rise again. So my question is. Why does Islam not hear to the witness of the disciaples of Jesus who lived with him for 3 years and instead believe the account of Mohammed who never once saw Jesus and was born over 600 years after Jesus died and arose? ok and my next question is. Why do Muslims think of the prophet Abraham, moses, and Jesus as muslim when they were every Jews? Here is the definiton of a Jew according to wikipedia "" Jewish ancestry is traced to the Biblical patriarchs Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the second millennium BCE."" my next question is this.i also learned this that the bible has 40 authors who wrote it with 66 books written over thousands of years. Quran has 114 chapters with one author compiled over about 23 years. And my question is Ok well the bible consisting of the torah and gospel is written in a very clear chronological order from the beginning of time (the book of genesis) to the end of time (revelations. Why is the Quran completely out of Chronological order? But every the books of the bible list exactly as it occured in History. From adam and eve, to noah, to king david, to solomon, and to Jesus, then the apostles. We every know God is the author of peace and harmony and does things in order. So why wouldn't Quran be done in the correct time frame in order? When mohammed was visited by the angel Gabriel why did the angel Gabriel force him to recite something? God never forces anyone to do anything against their will. Also why is it when he was visited by gabriel he was suicidal for a while? God does not make people suicidal he has the very opposite effect in fact Ok as im sure you know Christians Believe God is ONE but has a 3 fold identity. We do not think he is 3 seperate Gods. We believe Jesus is the representation of God in the flesh, we believe God the dad, and God the Holy spirit. We believe man was created in Gods image having a 3 fold nature (Flesh, soul, spirit) But my question is this. In the Quran i found several verses where God speaks of himself and says "WE" "Our" or meaning plural. He are the verses. 19:17 And had chosen seclusion from them. Then We sent unto her Our Spirit and it assumed for her the likeness of a perfect man."" 19:67 Doth not man remember that We created him before, when he was naught ? 22:5-6 O mankind! If you are in doubt concerning the Resurrection, (consider that) We created you of dust, then of semen, then of a fertilized ovum suspended on the wall of the womb After reading that please read this verse from the bible that is very similar. because God uses a plural form when talking about creation. Genesis 1:26 "Then God said, "Let US make man in our image, in our likeness," So from those verses in the Quran it would make it seem like God is a trinity as well. Also........ basically saying Mohammed makes the claim that the Gospel and Torah are sent by God then systematically denies that they have t

Open Question: How does a person prove to themselves and others that the faith they claim to have is real?
By talking the talk or walking the walk? 2. Christians if you claim that the whole bible is the inspired word of God, but at the same time you say you believe in Jesus, does this mean that you have determined that Jesus caused the whole bible to be written? 3. If Jesus inspired the whole bible to be written, why is it only words in certain books of the bible say, "and Jesus said", or "But I (Jesus) say unto you". In school I was taught that if something was said by a particular person a direct quote the intire phrase, sentence or paragraph was placed within quotation marks (""). If the quote is paraphrased, meaning that only it is only simular to the original statement but is not an exact copy, but is still attributed to be said by a particlur person it is still said to be a quote, but an indirect quote. If this is true, then every words that Christians claim to be spoken or inspired to be spoken by Jesus, must start off with, "and Jesus said" as the Gospel of Jesus according to Thomas clearly demostrates. No other books of the OT or the NT demonstrates this as much as Thomas, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, or the book of Revelation. The only book other the the gospels of Jesus directly tell us to read is the Book of Daniel (Matthew 24:15) None of the other books in the NT, demonstrate the "and Jesus said" prerequisite for the words that follow to be direct or indirect quote attributed to words spoken by Jesus. Last arguement: In John 1:18, John 5:37, John 6:31-67, and John 10:1-8 Jesus strongly states that No man (including Moses or the Prophets or anyone else) has ever heard or seen God. John 4:20-22 implies that Moses and the Jews were deceived. John 4:22 clearly states that (being saved) was reserved only for the Jew. No where else dose Jesus Himself ever imply that anyone other than the Jews were Lost or need to be saved. It is the words spoken or caused to be written by Peter and Paul, James and Timothy that first claim that Jesus said that we every (everyone) needed to be keep. It was Peter and Paul who changed the names of the disciples (followers) of Jesus to Christians, Jesus never call His followers Christians. But the biggest lie told by Peter and Paul is the misinformation that the day Jesus gave the Holy Ghost happened 40 days after the resurrection of Jesus. IT DID NOT. Read the words of Acts the words that they (claim) to be words spoken by Jesus. The words that are used are carefully chosen to make the reader believe that Jesus spoke these words, but read carefully, they do not really state that Jesus spoke these words, they actual claim that the Lord, the Lord Jesus spoke these words, Jesus never referred to Himself as Lord, and after Jesus died Jesus referred to Himself in such ways as spoken in the 7 letters to the 7 churches. There is not one line that says, "and Jesus said" Jesus Himself gives the truth concerning the day He gave the Holy Ghost and it was the next day after He was resurrected, according to Jesus Himself ,John, Mary Magdalene and Daniel it happened that same day of the resurrection, only later that same night, and Daniel gives the exact time it happened early Moday morning. To LEARN the truth read John 20:1-22 pay close attention to John 20:19-22 and John 20:26-29. Where were the apostles and who else was gift according to John 20:1-22. Who do you follow? Jesus in John 12:49-50 clearly told you were He got the words He spoke which clarifies His statements spoken in John 6:31-67

Resolved Question: Percy Jackson for teenage girls. What do you think?
This isn't mine, but a book that'll be released in 2011. The publisher paid 7 figures for it (that's at least 6 zeros). ____________ In Starcrossed, which brings Greek tragedy to high school, a shy Nantucket teenager named Helen Hamilton attempts to kill the most attractive boy on the island, Lucas Delos, in front of her entire class. The incident proves more than a bit inconvenient for Helen, who's already concerned that she's going insane--whenever she's sees Lucas (or any of his family members) the image of three crying women appear to her. The murder attempt does have an upside though, as it ultimately leads to Helen's revelation that she and the local heartthrob are, in fact, playing out some version of a weighty ancient adore affair. (Said female apparitions are, in fact, the Three Fates.) So Helen, like her namesake, Helen of Troy isn't going crazy, she's destined to start a Trojan War-like battle by being with Lucas. This then begs the unfortunate question: should she be with the boy she loves even if it means endangering the relax of the world? ________________ Is it something that interests you, or do you think this nice of storyline is becoming overdone? Will you read it when it's released? Obviously, the publisher thinks it'll sell very well. Source: http://www.publishersweekly.com/article/452016-Harper_Teen_Pays_Seven_Figures_for_Debut_YA_Trilogy.php?nid=2286&source=title&rid=17084016 @JazzyB. This is a synopsis of a book that's coming out in 2011. It was pitched to publishers as "Percy Jackson for teenage girls." The publisher made a deal with the author for a 3-book series. I'm wondering what you think about the book based on the Synopsis, and if you'll be reading it when it comes out. I included the link, so you can find out more about the series.

Resolved Question: I am a muslim are you? i know its long but please read?
Did you know A Muslim is defined as one who follows the religion of Allah, Al-Islam. Divisions exist to separate differences. If we divide ourselves, it is due either to some worldly difference between us or a difference in faith (as mentioned, neither is justifiable). A deliberate alteration of faith does not create a sect of Islam, it creates a distinct faith which the followers may claim to be a sect of Islam. Thus, there is a great danger involved in attributing oneself to one of the many so-called sects of Islam. Loyalty is allowed only for Allah, His messenger, and to those people who claim loyalty to Allah and his Messenger (SAWS) (i.e. the Muslims). Those of us who declare loyalty to a specific sect had better beware; sect of Islam is a contradiction of terms. You can have one or the other, not both! In accord with this, verse 32 of surah #30 of the Quran reads: And be not like those who join gods with Allah, those who split up their religion and become (mere) sects, each party rejoicing in that which is with itself! The words, "that which is with itself" refer to those differences which people use to justify their separation from Islam. Notice that polytheism, the greatest sin, is prohibited along side with division of religion. This pairing, like everything else in the Quran, is deliberate. It is meant to demonstrate the magnitude of this crime. A good Muslim is one who is without denomination, faction, or any other special loyalty. The prophet (SAWS), in his final speech to the whole Ummah, said that between Muslims, there are no races or tribes. We have divided the Ummah which our nabi (SAWS) tried so difficult to keep together. Allah warns us, in verse 105 of surah #3 not to allow ourselves to dissociate. The verse reads:The approximate meaning in English is: "And be not like those who are divided amongst themselves and fall into disputations after receiving clear signs: for them is a dreadful punishment in store". Islam, being a flexible religion, allows for a variety of opinions and customs, as long as they do not contradict the religion. As mentioned, religious disagreements between the so-called sects of Islam can be resolved by turning to the Quran, not by segregation. The Quran is the book of guidance for every OF mankind. How can we convince anyone of this if we cannot even be united amongst ourselves! We are making a mockery of ourselves to non-muslims by refusing to follow the simple instructions of our possess holy book! Allah's disapproval of disunity among Muslims is evident in verse 103 of surat Al-Imran: The approximate meaning is: And hold quick, every of you, to the rope of Allah, and do not separate. And remember Allah's favour unto you: how you were enemies and He made friendship between your hearts so that you became brothers by His grace: and how you were upon the brink of an abyss flame, and He did keep you from it. Thus, Allah maketh clear His revelations unto you that haply you may be guided. The ayah refers to how the Meccans and Medinians were united by the grace of Allah. This example illustrates how Islam was, and should still be, a uniting force between Muslims despite any superficial differences which may exist between us. The ayah also tells us that the Quran contains very clear guidance. Given that, there is no reason why any two Muslims should not practice Islam the same way, the way Allah has instructed. The most shameful division among Muslims is that of denomination; the major ones being sunni, sheea, and ismaeli. These are every artificial divisions which have absolutely nothing to do with Allahs revealed deen. Who are we to clip up Allahs deen into little pieces, especially when Allah has forbidden us to do so? This is a crime committed by nearly 1 billion Muslims. A study of the history of these sects reveals that they were created PURELY by political disagreements. Later, innovations in religion guide to religious differences. An honest study of the Quran easily reveals these innovations (which I will not mention for the time being, due to time constraints). Nowhere in the Quran is there any mention of sunni, sheea, or ismaeli, and so we must make these terms alien to our vocabulary! The Quran is very clear in this matter. Allah has declared that sectarianism is Haram. As Muslims, we are prohibited even from involvement with people who restrict themselves to a so-called subdivision of Islam. This point is mentioned in verse 159 of surah #6: As for those who divide their religion and break up into sects, thou hast NO PART IN THEM IN THE LEAST, their affair is with Allah, He will in the end tell them the truth of every that they did. It is interesting to note that when Quran refers to those who will inhabit the jahannam, Allah often mentions that they will look the truth of every that they did or that they will receive just treatment for every that they used to do. These endings are never mentioned for those people who will enter Paradise. They a

Resolved Question: In your wildest imagination, what do you think Judgement Day will be like?
Revelation 20:12 King James Bible And I saw the dead, tiny and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. Edit: It took God 6 days to create the earth, universe and life as we know it. On the 7th day God rested. I wonder how long would it take him to judge every of mankind past and gift? It's mind boggling when you think about it. I'm not here to debate with you on whether heaven or hell exist. I for one believe in heaven and hell. IMO we are held accountable for our actions while on earth, we will be held accountable to God when we die. But that's just me and millions of others who think like me. ( ^ _ ^ )

Resolved Question: Question about forgiveness?
I have a tiny question about something in the Bible I do not understand. I have been raised in a Christian household and I went to church for a long time. I was always taught to believe that if you sin, but acknowledge that Jesus is your savior and ask for his forgiveness, you will be forgiven and your sins will be pardoned and forgotten. But I was reading a little Bible pamphlet, and there were some contradictory verses in there. One said "The books were opened...and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the book" (Revelations 20:12). Another verse said "For there is nothing hid" (Mark 4:22). The last one was "For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed, and hid, that shall not be known" (Matthew 10:26). If I am reading this correctly, this means that your sins are truly never forgotten. If your "books" include past sins which you have asked forgiveness for, then your sins are not truly pardoned, just forgotten. So does forgiveness "erase" your sins from your "book"? Or will God still judge me based on sins that I have asked forgiveness for?

Resolved Question: Questions for Mormons & people of General Religious Knowledge.?
Firstly, i am in No way bashing &or attacking the Church of Jesus Christ of LDS. But i do have Questions after my Studies of the Church's History, etc. Anyone who knows me here or out of here knows that i am a total bookworm and i read read read. Now, onto my Questions. 1. I spoke with a Mormon Bishop quite sometime ago, and he portrayed Joseph Smith Jr. to me as a Timid and Low Self Esteem kinda guy. Now, imagine someone saying the following in your church. Would you continue to go to that church? "I have more to boast of than ever any man had. I am the only man that has ever been able to keep a whole church together since the days of Adam. A big majority of the whole have stood by me. Neither Paul, John, Peter, nor Jesus ever did it. I boast that no man ever did such a work as I." History of the Church vol.6 p.408,409. & those were Smith's words. He doesn't sound very Timid or suffer from Low Self Esteem. Explain? 2. If Gods are individuals who have passed through mortality and have progressed to Godhood, how has one person of the Trinity (the Holy Spirit) attained Godhood without getting a body? (look Acts 5:3,4) 3. If the Book of Mormon really contains the fullness of the Gospel, why does it not tutor the doctrine of “eternal progression”? (look D&C 20:8,9) 4. If the Book of Mormon contains the fullness of the Gospel, why doesn’t it tutor that God was once a man? 5. Joseph Smith stated that without the ordinances and authority of the priesthood no man can look the face of God and live (D & C 84:21, 22). He also said that he saw God in 1820 (Joseph Smith 2:17). Joseph Smith, however, never received any priesthood until 1829 (D&C 13). How did he look God and survive? In which was he in mistake: his revelation in D & C 84:21, 22 or his experience in the grove? 6. If Adam is the “only God with whom we have to do”, did Adam create himself? (Journal of Discourses Vol. 1, pg. 50, 51) 7. If Jesus was conceived as a result of a physical union between God and Mary, how was Jesus born of a virgin? (Journal of Discourses Vol. 1, page 50) 8. Here is a very simple Question i thought of. If God speaks through a prophet, why do Mormons vote on whether or not to receive and authorize it? 9. D&C 129:4, 5 says, “When a messenger comes saying he has a message from God, offer him your hand and request him to shake hands with you. If he be an angel he will do so, and you will feel his hand.” How can this test distinguish between an angel of God and a Jehovah’s Witness missionary…or a Mormon Elder.

Resolved Question: If the Last Days are upon us, is there really any adequate response to them except repentance & conversion?
I ask this question not as a Christian myself, but as an agnostic who used to worry about the Apocalypse and the prophecies of the Book of Revelation a lot. I don't personally expect the world to end soon -- but I've often wondered how Christians who do expect it to end are trying to respond to that belief. From what I've seen so far, it mostly seems that Christians point to the "end times" prophecies as a sign that everyone needs to repent & be converted to the worship of Jesus -- NOW. The main point of the Book of Revelation to the Christians I've interacted with, anyway, is DON'T WAIT - TIME IS RUNNING OUT! If you're Christian, is this the way you mostly look the "End Times" prophecies? Or is there something more to it than that -- or something different?

Resolved Question: If God marks men with spiritual markings does Satan do the same 666?
In the Bible cane was marked by God to protect him from hurt. The jews who morned over the bad which was taking place in Jerusalem were marked by an Angel of the Lord on their forehead. God sent the Holy spirit to those who would accept it and this is the seal of the living God. These are just three spiritual marks from God of the top of my head that I can recall. I'm sure there are more. So if God marks man spiritually does the Devil mark men spiritually also? Does the Devil place men into spiritual bondage / captivity to witchcraft / demonic forces Revelation 13,10? Has the N.W.O. / Nazis Within the Order with its many branches, such as the "Free" Masons / Shriner's / Mafia / New Age Movement just to name a few, distributed occult paraphernalia into society to cause spiritual bondage / captivity to witchcraft / demonic forces? Is it by spiritual captivity caused from these “games” / practices that people / victims are forced with witchcraft to go through the NWO's “secret ceremony” performed through transcendental meditation? In said transcendental meditation state, the victims are forced to except the worship of one of “Satan’s Secret Society’s” many "Gods". Through methods of witchcraft, while in said transcendental state, the victims are informed that in accepting the worship of one of the New World Orders many "Gods" they accept “every” there “Gods”.

Resolved Question: Evidence for 'Revelations' (The Holy Bible)?
Our days have been significantly shortened by earthquake activity over the past decade my question is this:- Is this proof of what the book of revelations is trying to tells us? In the Bible Jesus stated: “And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elects sake those days will be shortened” (Matthew 24:22).? Many have noted that time seems to be accelerating. The hours, days, seasons, and years appear to fly by faster than ever before. An hour no longer feels like 60 minutes (unless you’re waiting in line!). One week seems to run into the next. It’s as if we’re watching the blur of a speeding train pass by. - This paragraph was taken from a .pdf article entitled 'The Quickening' which you can find here - http://www.eternal-productions.org/PDFS/The%20Quickening.pdf For me these nice of things are more than just coincidence and must be payed full attention to given the ramifications of such events. Great answers from everyone I'm open minded to every possibilities and that's exactly why I posted this question. This is not the first the time Earth has shifted as the result of a major global event. The length of a day last changed in 2004, when the magnitude-9.1 Sumatran quake shortened it by 6.8 microseconds. Benjamin Fong Chao of NASA's Goddard Space Flight middle in Greenbelt, Md., explained the process in 2005. As he told CNN, "Any worldly event that involves the movement of mass affects the Earth's rotation.” Please forget what you think you know about religion and look to your heart for the answers. I'm not a very religious person myself, certainly not in the way I live my life but I know that within the constantly ammended holy bible of many faiths there lies some truth. I simply search for the truths between science and religion, the two main thought provoking perceptions in my life.

Voting Question: Anyone see last nights 'Simpsons' w/creation-evolution?
Maybe its just that no-one knows how to tutor creation? Lets look at it - a major doctrine of the bible is that 'the first will be last and the last will be first'. This is demonstrated in the very first day, the last thing 'brought forth' on the first day was the light - and we read in Ecc. 8:23 that it was with him 'from everlasting', so the last was actually first! Enoch, the first guy who writes a testimony, the first thing he writes about is the last generation. John, the last gospel starts with 'in the beginning' As there were 22 things created that first 6 days before the 'relax', so there are 22 chapters in the last book of the bible, before the last 'day', when Christ will be 'Lord of the Sabbath' 6 'days' of creation - 1 'day' of relax & 2P3:8, so... 6000 years of sin and tribulation and 1000 years of Christ - The King of Israel! in the Law it is written 'on the testimony of 2-3 witnesses shall a matter be established' Barnabus, a 'teacher & prophet';E of B ch.15, Enoch, the 'scribe of righteousness';1Enoch33, and Baruch, the 'faithful scribe' of jeremiah;Jer45, every bear witness to this 6000 year & 1000 year scenario. Here we are in 2010 A.D. - creation was about 4000 years before Christ! and what do we look in the world? A Great nation! which God has raised up! as 'we are endowed by our 'Creator', but now claims 'monkeys as our fathers' As there are 50 chapters in Genesis, a book of beginnings, so also America, the 'Harlot' of the end has 50 states take a look at Gen22:11,Gen46:2,Ex3:4,1Sam3:10,Isa65:1 and proof it w/Gen41:32! now of Babylon...Isa21:9 once in O.T., twice in N.T.,Rev14:8 & Rev 18:2 when it falls they say 'Alas,Alas', twice! after it falls Rev 19:1&3, and of course we had the 'twin towers' going 'boom, boom' in 'New York,New York' 'Harlot' by 'departing' from the Lord, Hosea 6:2 'Mystery' because when Revelation was written and the first century A.D., this 'land' had yet to be discovered., isn't it also a 'mystery' why a great nation such as our possess is not in the bible? 'Babylon' of old was the great military and economic power of its time! Isn't that the EXACT same thing Barack Obama said at his inauguration of this country??? turn to Ecc. 1:9 & 3:15!!! What? oh what will you believe? As the sun, moon, and stars were made on the 4th day, so the 4th angel sounded and struck the sun, moon, and stars, Rev8:12 I can go on - illegal immigration, Jer51:14! but, alas, it is I that am called crazy! because no, we will have 'monkeys as our fathers'! "every creation 'myths' taught in school" my reponse, yes every, instead of the one 'myth' which currently is taught

Resolved Question: Why do some Christians do/think this?
before i say anythign else know that i AM a Christian. why do so many Christians expect society, and laws, to please their views? this has never been the case in history and i dont think it ever really will. I personally dont care if they pass laws about same-sex marriage, or about the death penalty, like i dont condone homosexuality but Christians should be challenged by society, otherwise being a Christian is easy, and i DO NOT think that is the way God intended. There are too many Christians expecting God to make their lives easy and to make the world agree with them. There are also way to many verses in the Bible to count that talk about how Christians should not become disheartened by suffering, but persevere and grow stronger spiritually through it. You should not seek out suffering, but when it comes you should know how to deal with it not whine, and know God has a reason unimaginable to us that he is putting to work through our suffering. Christians have had it WAY, WAY, WAY, WAY, WAY, WORSE in the past over the last 2000 or so years than we have it today, and God never says that he will make the earth perfect, in fact there is something about much suffering in the book of Revelation, prior to Jesus' second coming. If earth was so perfect there would be no need for Heaven, and no need for salvation, and no need for Jesus. Suffering is one of the main principles of Jesus' teachings, along with how to deal with those sufferings. If i have made any big errors please point them out and i will edit my post as i look fit BTW dont mind my name/avatar its just for LULZ @Goldilocks so why bother posting an answer? you apparently have enough time for that.... cmon guys if your not going to read then dont bother posting. like UR DANG 2 PTS GAWRSH @RyanC whether or not we suffer as punishment from God i dont think is true/ If you look at Biblical examples of people who suffer it usually led to their faith getting stronger or the faith of others, i.e. the martyrdom of Stephen and BTW im not living in teh USA i live in Canada

Open Question: Why do JWs interpret this as referring to Jesus when it's Jehovah being spoken of in 1 Timothy 6:16?
A JW answer to a question "Do JWs believe everyone will know when Jesus comes (erkhomenon)..." quoted from the JW book "Revelation: Its Grand Climax". This is the relevant part of that quote by the JW: "How is it, then, that “every eye will look him”? We should not expect that Jesus’ enemies would look him with physical eyes, for the apostle Paul said, after Jesus’ ascension to heaven, that Jesus now “dwells in unapproachable light,” and “not one of men has seen or can look” him. (1 Timothy 6:16) Evidently, John meant “look” in the sense of “discern,” just as we can look, or discern, God’s invisible qualities by means of his creations." Now, 1 Tim 6:16 is referring to Jehovah: "God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no-one has seen or can look." Why would JWs say this means Jesus? Could it have anything to do with their desperate determination that Jesus will not return visibly to Earth at any time? Is that connected to their "invisible presence" in 1914 teaching? Why are JWs so against the very idea that Jesus will return to Earth and be seen again, as He was seen the first time He came to Earth? Why would their Society misapply 1 Tim. 6:16 to support that? Surely that undermines their case?
